This was our first time racing at the Anglesey circuit in North Wales, and we were contesting the final two rounds of the British Monoposto Tiedeman trophy championship.Testing went well on Saturday as Noel got to grips with this challenging circuit and the team was in a good position going into qualifying on Sunday morning.Noel qualified in second position for both races behind championship leader Neil Harrison.Race one: Noel made an average start by his standards and dropped down to third position behind Harrison and Joe Power, but soon passed Power to regain second position which he held to the flag.Noel was delighted with his performance and his fastest race lap (second fastest of the race) was 3/10th quicker than his fastest time from qualifying.Race two: Noel made a better get away and slotted into second position, however he got caught out on cold tyres and spun on the first lap down to 12th position.Noel now set about a charge back through the field and regained second place with one lap of the race to go, and held this position until the flag.Noel was very happy with another visit to the podium and his drive back through the field after his mistake on lap one, Noel stated that he pushed too hard on cold tyres to take the lead away from the eventual champion Neil Harrison. This was a very successful end to the season for Noel with two further podiums to follow on from his recent 3rd place at Brands Hatch 3 weeks ago to make it 3 in a row on the podium.
